BREWING - BASIC

If you're struggling with the maze of manual brewing equipment as a beginner, or if you're having trouble controlling the flow rate and are confused by the coffee-to-water ratio, the Basic Brewing course at EA is the answer for you. This course will help you eliminate intuitive brewing habits and master every cup of coffee with a scientific, internationally standardized approach.

Instead of rote memorization of formulaic recipes, this course will guide you to delve into the essence of concentration and extraction ratios according to Gold Cup standards. Each student will practice deciphering the Brewing Chart and master techniques for evaluating water sources, filter characteristics, and standardized cleaning procedures.

After the course, you will be fully confident in creating unique recipes by customizing grind size and flow rate, as well as controlling pre-infusion techniques—all tailored to each type of bean and brewing equipment. The course will not only help you stop relying on trial and error to achieve consistent flavor, but also certify your skills with the prestigious international IBC (Italian Barista Certificate).
